32 Never Looked so GOOD!

So this year for my 32nd Birthday I decided to celebrate at Chopstix in Tacoma. It's a dueling Piano Bar so I invited a bunch of my friends to celebrate me getting older.

What goes around comes around. My friends made sure that I had to be center stage but it didn't work quite the way they planned because they didn't realize they would be joining me.

Getting ready for the chicken dance they had us preform. Watch out America's Got Talent here we come.

They kept coming and I couldn't keep up. I had to take a picture to show everyone how far behind I was. I think they were trying to get me drunk. Don't they realize I'm not 21 anymore.

NOT YOUR MOMS MAKEUP

So see what happens when our kids get out of line we just knock them around....just kidding. One of the parents in our neighborhood their dad is an EMT and apparently they have these drills where they create injuries and assess them as if they were real and how they should treat them. It was like Halloween for Chase in Logan but in July. Chase not pictured he had already removed his makeup by the time he got to us.

Transforming for GOD

It's that time of year again when Trey heads off for camp through the church. This years camp theme is Transformers~More than meets the Eye.

This is his 3rd year and he was looking forward to it much more than the previous years. This picture was taken of them on the drive up to Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Mineral, WA.

I had to work so Rich was tasked with the drop off. Which was probably good since I can be a little sensitive in these situations plus it can be embarrassing for a kid Trey's age when his mom might start tearing up.
He was assigned a cabin with Adan who is also part of our small group. I know this was a very big reason he was soo excited about camp because his friend Adan would also be there.
We'll miss him this week but glad he has the opportunity to grow in his faith and love for GOD. We can't wait to see him at the end of the week to see how GOD has transformed him.

Grandma's my Name--Spoilin's my Game

Not only does my mom live in Sacramento but my brother Eric does as well so another reason the boys really look forward to going to California is to spend time with their cousins. Devon is Logan's age and they get along really well and Tristen is a year younger than Chase so they get along fairly well.

They did a little bit of everything while here they played video games ...actually most of their time was spent playing the Wii. They raced each other in Mario Kart. Played each other in Wii Sports and played Sonic the HedgeHog.

They also enjoyed some time in the pool. Nana and Papa are in the process of putting a much bigger pool up in their backyard so we had to make due with a smaller one until that is finished. Nonetheless they had fun.

Chase got injured while chasing after the other boys and had to nurse his ear with ice.

They enjoyed yummy treats

They made milkshakes but had to draw toothpicks to decide who was going to go first because of coarse they all did.

Trey won and drew the winning stick. Logan was second and Devon third but being the sweet kid Logan is he surrendered his place and gave it to Devon.

Finally time to settle down they all relaxed as they watched Garfield the movie.

Well time to head back home to see dad who has missed us not being around. Here are a few shots of our plane ride home.

World Class Travelers

So the boys and I have been making a trip to Sacramento almost every other weekend to see their Nana and Papa. Since this summer hasn't proven to be much of a HOT one here we have had to head south for our sun. Boy is it hot there while visiting we have gotten temperatures of 95 degrees and hotter.

With gas prices higher than they've ever been we have also been riding the bus to the airport. Which the boys enjoy. I think the enjoy it solely because they don't have to wear a seat belt and don't have to sit in a car seat. I would encourage any of you to try it only 2.50 on the express bus to Sea-Tac. I ride it every day to work and it's great. Just a little plug for Pierce Transit.

Here's some pictures of them enjoying the ride
Once we get off the bus we then headed to our flight. All of them have grown to love flying I suppose they really don't have a choice considering what I do. Even little Chase has gotten over his fear of it.
While we wait to board Logan has a time out and Chase keeps himself busy in his seat.

Chase going over the safety instructions before take off.
Trey chillin in a row by himself

Not long after take off two of the three fell asleep allowing me to read my book and have a peaceful flight.

Makin' a Splash

Finally a nice day and I didn't have to work. So I figured I better get the boys to the pool because the way this summers been going who knows how long it would be before we get another day like today. We headed to one of the best pools for kids of all ages...Stewart Heights in Tacoma. It didn't start out so good Chase fell right after we arrived and scrapped his leg up pretty bad. We had to go to the office so they could bandage him up. Here is a few shoots of him and his boo boo.

I hung out with Chase the first half because he didn't want to go into the water with his leg it hurt to much. I hoped this wouldn't last for long because it was hot outside and I wanted to cool off in the water.

Trey and Logan had a blast they were in the water the whole time I could barely get the out to leave.

Hopefully we will get another nice day soon so that we can go back for more fun in the sun.
