Hunters Pumpkin Patch

So this year we decided to go to Hunters Pumpkin Patch instead of Maris. We joined The Rossi's and the Wrights this year here are some of the pictures from that day. I'm a little behind but better late than never.

My First 10K

So I have been running on a treadmill for awhile now but have never competed in a actual race or marathon. Let alone did much running outdoors. So I decided it was time to finally give it a shot. I choose the Bank to Bay 10k in downtown Tacoma. It starts on 17th Street and you continue onto Schuster Parkway down to Ruston Way. My biggest concerns with this race was how early in the morning you have to be up to run it. Started at 920a I usually run but at night because I'm not much of a morning person. Also, there were a few hills and I'm not that strong at hills not yet anyway. They whole family came out to cheer me on plus they participated in the kids 1k. Here are some shots of the biggest fans.

Eric and Don my friends from work joined me on my first run.

Once the race started I managed to keep a pretty good pace. Eric ran the first 3 miles with Don and I then he took off. Don and I managed to keep up with each other. My goal was to beat him and his goal was to beat me. I thought I had a pretty good shot that is until that last hill kicked my butt. I didn't walk but I had to slow my pace. So he took me on the hill.

Here's my favorite guys waiting for me to cross he finish line.

So who ended up winning .....well Eric kicked both of our butts but

Don won by about 20 seconds. That darn hill. Here he is in the last stretch.

Here I come I'm in the pink shirt and black shorts.
There I go on my way to the finish line.
Well I did it I may not have beat Don but I did it. My final time was 49 minutes and I believe 40 seconds they haven't posted our times yet but it was under 50 minutes which was my goal.

Back to School

Ooh it's that time a year again.....kids go back to school. This year I have two kids attending school all day. Trey is in 5th grade this year. He will be in the portables this year and might I add very excited about this. Logan is in 1st grade this year. I can't believe the freedom I'm embarking on. I only have one child at home but even Chase will be going to preschool two days a week. I managed to get their pictures but in doing so made them miss the bus. I also have to get ready for work in the same hour I'm getting them ready for school. So I was running around like a chicken with it's head chopped off trying to get my uniform on and they were like mom we need to go or we're going to miss the bus and I said you can't go until I get your picture. Well I got the shot and they missed the bus.

Look at the enthusiasm

It's so cute to get backpack shots

One more shot

OK maybe one more

On the way to the bus stop.

Here's a shot of Logan getting off the bus. Trey got off at the first bus stop so Rhonda who picks them up while I'm at work was unable to get him. That little stinker.

Lets Play Ball

Our good friends Mashel and Allen invited us to their son Hunters 7th Birthday Party. He had a baseball theme birthday where all the kids had to come dressed up as baseball players ready to play ball.

Trey and Chase when we arrived.
Logan in the outfield. What a natural!

This picture is hilarious. Need I say anything.

HITTING THE DOUBLE DIGITS

So Trey turned 10 on Wednesday August 27 and we celebrated his birthday on Saturday. Trey wanted a pool party and we were really hoping that the weather would cooperate and we could have it at Stewart Heights a cool outdoor pool in Tacoma but it turned out to be cold so we had to go with our back up plan an indoor pool in Northeast Tacoma called the Centre at Norpoint. Unlike my friend Mashel I usually leave the cake making process to the professionals...that would be Costco or Albertsons but this year I decided to make my own cake. I figured I will do it at least once for each child and then give it back to the professionals. Here is a picture of the cake I made it is a snorkeler. However, I couldn't find the snorkeler to complete the look o'well everyone got the point.

I also made gift bags for everyone. I thought they turned out pretty cute.

Here is a closeup of the gifts bags.

Nevaeh really enjoyed the water. She was a natural

Adan, Viviana, and Paigh teaming up against Trey

Chase absolutely loves the water.

Dante enjoyed the water but not as much as Veah

Chase doing his own thing.

For Trey's birthday he had given us his list....let me add he began it months before his actual birthday. He typed it up in word and I have to say I was rather impressed with his skill in Word. He used different fonts and sizes. Even different colors. He had really put a lot of effort into making it. Below is his list unfortunately I cant get the same fonts and sizes as the original but I thought I would share with y'all to give you a little chuckle.

Trey birthday list
What I want from my parents 1. My Lego creator Lego set
2. Super smash bros. brawl wii
3. Mario kart for wii
4. Some money
5. A lot of Bakugan
6. A other D.S blue and black
7. Guitar hero on tour for D.S
8. A visa creditcard so I can buy wii point on my wii
9. Classic controller for wii
That’s my birthday list
Trey birthday list

However, more than the creation of the list was the things on the list. He had numbered them and had such things as Legos, Wii games, Wii controler, A DS Lite(even though he already owns one...but he wanted another in a different color) a lot of money, and my personal favorite a visa credit card. Well he did get most things not all from us but I wanted to share some pictures of one of his favorite gifts and this was the Legos King's Castle Siege.

These were while he was putting it together. I have to add that I am also rather impressed with how fast he can put his lego sets together. Chase did not leave his side while Trey put the castle together. Chase is a huge Lego lover so he enjoyed Trey's gifts as Trey did maybe even more.

VIVA LAS VEGAS

My good friend Lisa invited us to Las Vegas to celebrate her 40th Birthday. Thanks to the Denmarks and Wrights for watching the boys so that we were able to take this trip.
